Ariel Fleurimond is currently an administrator at Columbia University.
Ariel has been a course developer, professional vector illustrator, graphic designer, web designer, faculty development specialist & instructional designer for other higher ed institutions. She is also a NYS certified K-12 art educator and has taught in Long Island school districts as a full-time teacher.
Ariel holds a BA in Psychology, with double minors in General Education and Computer Programming and Applications from New York University. She also holds an MA in Art Education and another MA in Educational Technology, both of which from Adelphi University. She is currently a doctoral student and researcher at Columbia University’s Teachers College. Ariel’s doctoral research is in instructional technology and media, with a focus on faculty development and teacher education. Other themes and topics that appear in her work include learning sciences, learning development and instructional design.
